Snow day!

Oh,
we had plans for today..possibly getting a christmas tree, going to Home depot, running errands.

But the snow decided to interfere.

This morning at 6.30 school super intendent sounded over the answering machine: "school is cancelled today, and the flu vaccines postponed.."

Needless to say, the kids were super excited! And well, we can always change our plans can't we? (though we're lucky we don't have to be at work today, because i feel for the parents that do)

It's kind of nice to have to surrender to the snow. We had a long pancake breakfast, the kids played outside as soon as it was light out, and Raul is still there as we speak.

The plows haven't come by yet, so no one's going anywhere unless they have to. It's a bit of nostalgia.
