We are in the middle of a heatwave, upper 30's (tegen de 40 voor de nl-ers). humid, and, it is summer vacation. (2 months of having your precious little children all to yourself! all day long!)
Now the best thing to do on these kind of days, is to seek out a body of water somewhere, and give into it. Now I'd love to do that on a daily bases, but us grow ups have grown up things to do as well, so today is home with ac on, and the kiddie pool in the back yard.
3 kids together all day, sounds like a load of fun right? Despite my warnings of not coming in the house dripping wet, every few minutes, someone comes in, or howls from the yard. Robin: "Sito is splashing mee!" (gee, who'd think you might get wet playing in a pool) Raul: "Robin pinched mee!" (for splashing her). Robin: "Sito keeps pushing me of the slide and laughing about it." Raul: "Quintin peed his pants!" Quinn: "i have to use the potty" (after he peed himself),. Raul: "Quintin beat me in the head with a boat!" and, well..fill in the blanks. I'm sure all of you with kids could come up with a few good ones yourselves right?
However, many days summer IS like this..
