just a sunny morning in April

The morning started out with me feeling trapped in a monkey cage. The kids were going wild, so as soon as they were dressed, outside they went! I went on with some housewifely activities, as the kids miraculously all played outside together without too much trouble.

After having stuck my head out the door a few times, and having had coffee on the front step, i decided housework can wait.

I was thinking about taking the kids to the park and then having a picnic lunch there.

However, Bob the mailman stopped by, and Raul went around the block with him and got a "mailman training". I didn't really feel like leaving. Robin and Quinn were having fun together, so

I figured the front lawn would be just as good a place to be.

We just laid in the grass for a while, in the breeze and the sun

And then the kids stalked the mailman some more

And Raul told me all about his "mailman in training" adventures. He was so excited. He was out "working" with Bob for about half an hour.

Then the kids read books together under the lilac bushes while i made lunch. No, i did not stage this picture, it actually really happened! Amazing huh?

And we had a picnic lunch in the grass. My camera was inside at this point. Now, Quinn is taking a nap, and R&R earned themselves a bit of "screen time" (psp, laptop). Hopefully the afternoon will be just as nice!
