The rest of our day

While Robin was at the party, we had a nice and quiet afternoon, it was almost surreal how quiet it was.

First we went for a walk around the block. Quinn insisted on taking his little bike, all though his legs are getting too long for it. He "ran" down the hill on it like a mad man, it was so funny to see. Raul took his bike too, and raced down Reynolds field a couple of times, which caused him to be covered in mud.

After we got home, we had some tea together, and, of course had some of the cake. The cake was great by the way, but crazy buttery (the recipe had called for) but tasty. It didn't make for a guilt free snack though, it's the kind of think you can feel your ass getting bigger as you eat. Good thing we'd just taken a walk at least. :-p

After that, Raul wanted to play PlayStation in the basement, and Quinny wanted to see Wallace & Grommit in the living room. So i let them, and i had the most quiet hour ever! All i could hear was Chet baker in the kitchen..Heavenly!

I decided to get a head start on dinner right before Robin came home. And, her 2 friends, Isla & Olivia, wanted to come and play for a while. You guessed it, the quiet was gone :-p It wasn't so bad though as they played quite nicely together.

After the girls left, i had dinner in the oven.

When the kids went to bed at 7.00, i decided to let Raul stay up a bit longer, so first he read me some stories (how awesome is it to be able to say your kid can read to you..!), and then I decided to pull out the new Scrabble game my mom had given us. Raul's first game, he really enjoyed it.

Now Raul's in bed and I'm tired. I'm thinking of checking into my bed early and watch some recorded "Grey's anatomy"..Good night!
