Wow, we had a great and busy October. Busy enough for me to write barely anything, or post any pictures.
Kelvin has been busy working on the living room, painting, changing the beadboard and such. Thus, the house has been messy and un organized.
Kel was off the past 2 saturdays, the 24th because it was his birthday, hooray! Unfortunately, it rained all day, so we went to the Eric Carle museum in the morning, then hung out at home, where Kel continued working, but, we did have a pumpkin pie break!
On Thursday, the kids had a Halloween parade at school, where they were allowed to take a costume to school. After school, we went to Mc Cray's to pick our pumpkins.
The kids had the day off on Friday, so we spent the day in the yard raking. We carved out the pumpkins that afternoon as well, with great results if i may say so!
On Saturday, Halloween, Kel was off. I took the kids grocery shopping, so that Kel could do some more work in the house. It was such i nice, mysterious day out, wind, grey, mist and some rain, and not cold. very halloweenish indeed! I love when you see the fog coming out in between the mountains. I didn't have a camera on me so I was a bit bummed. We decided to take a walk later with Quinn and Kel, i took my camera, but left my memory stick!
When we got home, the kids dressed up, and we had pizza and waited until it got dark. They had a blast trick or treating, even shy Quinn, who loosed up once he figured out that candy was at stake.
When we finished, Shona, Eric, Isla and Bram made a surprise visit, so we enjoyed some wine together as the kids ate their candy.
Now we have the Halloween aftermath though, Raul sick (he even threw up!), Robin sick (from a cold) and Quinn just behaving tired..Oh well, i guess it's part of the package.
I will post some pictures from the past week here
