"fietsenrek" and other news

Well, I have not written anything in a while, so it's time for a milestone update.

Raul is now missing both his front teeth, yes, he has a true "fietsenrek" (bikerack) as we call it in Dutch!

It's been really busy lately, with all sorts of stuff, and it's been cold! We've had super cold weather for the time of the year, but now it's warming up a bit again.

And....*drumroll* Quinn has taken a few dumps in the toilet! Now aren't you glad to hear that? But well, as a parent, when your third and last kid decides to try to become potty trained, it IS a big deal, so excuse me for the ones who'd rather not know. ;-)

He is nowhere near being trained yet, because you really have to catch him in the act, but it's a start.Especially considering these other 2 kids didn't do anything at all until they were 3.

Then, since we were on the big boy track, we decided to take his crib apart and turn it into a toddler bed. After 2 years, he had still not climbed out (and the others did do that at 14 and 16 months!) so we figured why not.

It's going pretty well. Naps are off and on, why sleep, if you can play? But the days he doesn't nap, at least he passes out at 6 without getting out, so it works.

The first night, he kept getting out of bed of course, but he got the hang of it quickly.

And, it's fall, so we've all had continues colds. Raul was sick for a few days, Quinn resembles a booger fountain. (oh, you gotta love those snail trails in the most unexpected places..)

Oh, and Raul decided to start keeping a journal. I don't know if he'll keep up with it, but it sure is cute. He was quite proud of his first entry yesterday.

I will also make a photo album with some random pictures of stuff we did this month here. You can see them by clicking on the picture as well or the menu on the right of the page.

Oh, and one more thing, Dad is doing much better and well enough to travel. So, mom and dad are coming here November 21st! Yay! It'll be great because they'll be here for thanksgiving too.! :-)
